Croatia has about 95,000 army, 4,000 navy and 4,000 air force personnel. In addition, the Croat Defense Association (HOS) has about 10,000 armed men in Bosnia. The army tried unsuccessfully to recapture Serb-held Krajina in September 1993. The air force is suspected of breaking the UN-imposed "No-Fly" zone in Bosnia.
